This Campbeltown single malt is distilled at Springbank, the oldest operational distillery in the region. Crafted with Optic barley grown locally in High Cattadale Farm, this is the fourth release in the Local Barley series and is limited to just 9,700 bottles, each one presented at a strength of 57.7% abv.
The nose is malty with peat and sea salt atop some ground nutmeg. The palate brings a honeyed sweetness, along with apricot and some smoky rye bread. The finish is nutty with sultanas and more Campbeltown maritime influence.
