I just LOVE Anderson Valley! It is so remote, so lovely, and the
climate is just right for my absolute favorite style of Chardonnay: close to
the ocean cool, but warm, sunny days. The fruit for this dazzling wine was
nicely ripe, and cold fermentation preserved the delicate aromas of lime
blossom and lemon pie. No oak to mess up the purity of the fruit, and no
malo-lactic fermentation to dull the crisp, refreshing acidity. This is a lively,
but rich Chardonnay that is great with fish, chicken, or rice dishes, but nice
all by itself.
