Dear Friends
We have two exciting Friday night events coming up that I wanted to invite you to. So check your schedule for March 5 and March 19, they are both worth your time.
On Friday March 5th from 4-7 pm, Alan Goldfarb of Tudal Family Winery will be here to share the winery's latest project. Winemaker Kirk Venge has been making small lots of wine from fruit sourced from some of California's top growers. The lots are all around 100 cases and at $25-$35, are very reasonably priced for wines of this quality and lineage. Alan will bring with him a Carneros Chardonnay, a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, an Oakville Zinfandel and a Mt. Veeder Syrah. Come join us and see for yourself why everyone is so excited about the direction this winery is headed.
On March 19th from 4-7pm, Wine on Piedmont will host a first time event, a combination wine tasting and book signing. Many of you are already familiar with the Rosalynd Pinot Noir from Russian River and how fond I am of the wine. What you may not know is that winemaker David White's 'day job' is mystery novelist.
In fact, Rosalynd is a character in his novel 'The Good Life'. David and wife Lois will be here pouring the Pinot and signing copies of his novel. It promises to be great fun from both an oenological and literary point of view.
I am going to make one more effort to confirm the syndication tasting. Some of you have committed and others have expressed interest, but we need to get commitments from at least 12 people to make it work. I've started a sign-up sheet and am trying to find the best day to do it.
A recap of the syndication tasting, we will open 1 bottle each of Billecart-Salmon Rose, Dagueneau Silex, Match Butterdragon Hill Cabernet and Henschke Hill of Grace. $50 per person will get you tastes of all 4 wines. We will provide bread and cheese and/or other light food to accompany the wines. If you are ready to commit to joining the tasting, please let me know as soon as possible.

Our February sale was a great success, thank you for your support and patronage.
Thanks also to those who have contributed to the Haiti relief fund. Due to your generosity, we have raised more than $100 for the International Rescue Committee and Doctors without Borders.
